   Higher one

Fayetteville Technical Community College has partnered with Higher One, Inc. (a financial services company focused solely on higher education) to bring this new method of refund disbursement to our campus.

Founded in 2000, Higher One provides higher education institutions and their students with efficient, convenient, and easy-to-use solutions to handle financial disbursements. The “My FTCC Card”  will provide Fayetteville Tech students with increased choices when it comes to receiving their Financial Aid or student refunds. These options include the following:

  • A same-day deposit to the OneAccount, which is an FDIC-insured, no-minimum-balance checking account.
  • The option for students to transfer their refund disbursement to another account they select.

What Students Need to Do

The new “My FTCC Card” looks like a credit/debit card and will be mailed to each student’s current mailing address on file with Fayetteville Technical Community College. Therefore, it is critical that all students verify/update their mailing address by November 3, 2011.  Students can update their mailing addresses through Web Advisor or by completing a change-of-address form available at the Registrar's office.  We are communicating and will continue to communicate with our students through email, text, Web Advisor, Blackboard, our campus marquee, posters for bulletin boards, and upcoming newsletters. Our Student Services department has also received some promotional items, such as banners and informational pieces, for displaying and for sharing with our students.

We are very excited about this opportunity to provide Fayetteville Tech students faster service and increased choices for receiving refunds (Financial Aid and student refunds) due from Fayetteville Tech.  Please join us in welcoming this exciting new service to Fayetteville Technical Community College.

Please visit HigherOne.com to learn more about the new refund program (a program we refer to as "My FTCC Card") coming to our campus January 2012.  The website has a great deal of information about Higher One and their services, but let us know if we can also help answer any questions you may have.

Thank you for your interest in FTCC's partnership with Higher One to give you, the student, increased choices for receiving your refund.
